National Geographic photographer Carsten Peter was photographing volcanoes. They had to go inside the molten lake of Nyiragongo, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The weather? 1800 degrees Farenheit. Yet he said of the experience, "It was a dream come true. You felt the pulse of the Earth through your body." (Nat'l Geo Magazine, March 2011)
What an insane job!
